Disco Ball Motion
This would be a good example to follow, it looks realistic.
This isn't the kind of disco ball I am looking at, but its still handy to see the movements, especially in terms of lighting, as I will probably use some kind of coloured spot lights in my animation.
This is a video of an actual disco ball - I like how the coloured light can be seen on the right, it makes it more realistic.
This is maybe a bit extravagant for what I want to do but I am particularly interested in the light reflections from the ball itself.
Disco Ball Imagery
For one of my ITV idents I have used a rotating mirror ball - below are some images I have gathered to help me create it:
What I realise I haven't considered on my storyboards is the reflections on to the wall from the disco ball. This may have to be added in in After Effects, as I don't know how I would do this in Cinema 4D. I love the bottom one showing the light reflecting, and a coloured light being directed on to the left, I like how some of the ball isn't visible it looks more realistic than the one above.

Youth Charity Logo Development Continued
After experimenting with composition and the new colour scheme, I decided to work the transmission concept back in as this was discussed in email this afternoon. I first began work on the White Rabbit by Alice type face as I felt this was the font choice with the most potential. I am quite pleased with the development of this idea:
Using the transmission waves around the whole word:

Using the transmission waves around the whole word:
Around the i, I feel this would work better as it would translate to the simplified logo in a more recognisable manner:
Smaller waves:
Yellow tittle:
Yellow waves with highlights of the bowls in the d,e,p. I feel the highlights make the font a bit more exclusive rather than the standard typeface, it also enforces the idea of transmission and waves, and the transferral of ideas, hence the transferral of the waves:
Highlighting just the d and p: (this doesn't show up very well)With black waves and yellow highlights:

Youth Charity Logo Development
Taking into account the feedback from the last chat with the chairman, I have started some new ideas:

Youth Charity Logo Research
This is a widely recognised logo in terms of in the charity sector, compared to the other logos I have looked at this, looks the least like a charity logo due to its lack of focus on people. A lot of the other logos have some sort of pictorial element of people in it.
This has more of a charity feel to it, I like the use of Y's as the shape of two people. However, this causes imbalance to the logo, which I am not so keen on. Red and blue seem to be popular colours among the logos so far - this could be due to their striking appearance.
This is a funky logo, the charity is based on using music to aid disadvantaged youths. The simplicity of the logo makes it really effective.
This is a charity I have had some involvement with in the past. The deep purple gives it a strong appearance, although I am not so sure it communicates a lot about the values of the charity itself. The play on words is fun, v inspired as opposed to be inspired. The charity is based on inspiring people to become volunteers. There is a purple dot/circle inside the top of the v which I have still yet to work out the meaning/function this serves.
